Morocco Foodex is a public organism, created in 1986 following the liberalization of the export commercialization of agrifood products, and placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests.

Impartiality, rigor, fi ability, facilitation, anticipation and great professionalism are the foundations to be able to respond to the regulatory requirements dictated by the globalization of markets.

Morocco Foodex’s invested in a number of strategic missions such as quality control, coordination, operational and strategic monitoring as well as the promotion and development of exports of agricultural and maritime food products, it aims to be a proactive organism towards Moroccan exporters.

The main missions of the organization

Its missions aim in particular to guarantee the quality and safety of exports of Moroccan agrifood products, strength en their positioning on foreign markets and increase the influence of the “Made in Morocco” on the international scene.

By having a:

  • Network of 6 regional laboratories for physico-chemical, microbiological, sensory and packaging control activities, spread over the main production and export areas of the kingdom;
  • Efficient and adapted scientific equipment;
  • Qualified and experienced human resources;
  • International recognition of its laboratories.

Quality support

Morocco Foodex, also supports Moroccan exporters in addition to quality control, in the processes of trace ability and packaging
of seafood products, ensuring compliance with the technical requirements and standards imposed by the control authorities of food products in the US market such as USDA (US Department of Agriculture) and FDA (US Food and Drugs Administration).
